In this memory I do keep
Of old times do I weep
Failed and frayed am myself
Fleeing from this earthly hell
Crying my tears do stain the way
Healing my soul do I pray
My eyes wander but heart is set
These memories I need forget
Now in this time of deep despair
Knowing not of who’ll be there
Not a shoulder to lean on
Not a soul to make me strong
Fill these voids inside of me
For my existence, help me be
But not a life will be wasted
On your face a smile pasted
I will choose not to give in
Regret from sorrow, forgive from sin
Let these candles burn so bright
Let the flame guide way tonight

| This is such an inspiring poem. Not the obvious suffering, but the will of iron that will persist in who she is, despite... well, everything. A very eloquent description of hypocripsy when you say "on your face a smile pasted." Very well written and I hope the flame that is jennie burns strong and bright for a long time. |
