A Bad Day

Contributed by footballfan385 on Sunday, 1st May 2005 @ 09:34:01 PM in AEST
Topic: hbadday

I was having one of those days where everything seems to go wrong
One of those days where ketchup from a hot dog spills on your shirt
One of those days where my mom wouldn’t stop nagging
One of those days where I tripped and fell in the dirt

Mushin was having a bad day today too
His mom was very sick and he didn’t have the money for a doctor to save her life
He spent the little money he had on his poor mother and had nothing to eat
He didn’t want to lose his mom like he had already lost his wife

Today was one of the worst days of my life
I received a bad grade on a test and I didn’t finish my homework
I couldn’t hit a ball at baseball practice
My friend acted towards me like a real jerk

Jared was having a bad day today too
Today he threw up three times as a result of his chemotherapy yesterday
But he was still brave and fighting through
However if none of the treatment worked doctors said he would die in 54 days

Today was such a bad day for me
But I did make $100 at work and I didn’t know what to do
$100 could save Mushin’s mom and help Jared’s cause
I put the money in my wallet still mad about that day I tell you

If only I knew
If only I knew

I really liked this poem because even though we might be having a bad day, there is always someone whose going to have it even worse! Great job!

I really enjoyed this. It really makes you think about what a bad day truly is. The ending was great, sad but thats what happens. Good Job.

This is remarkable. People honestly don't realize what a "bad day" really is. Very powerful. Incredible.
