Touch of Frustration

Grief

Sometimes you have to get on with life,
Even if it hurts,
I just mask my pain with a fake grin,
And hope that no one will notice,
And they never do,
Which sometimes hurts more,
Why do people hate me?
Or treat me like I'm a piece of dirt?
Have you ever really seen my face,
The pain and the misery inside?
Have you ever really looked enough to see,
That I really wear my heart on my sleeve?
I guess I'm just a touch of frustration,
Draped with a coat of bittersweetness,
Depressed and angry,
Clothed in ache,
That I try to cover up with a grin and a laugh,
Sometimes I wish it could just end,
And maybe it can....
