It's interesting that before any cerebral experience,
where by the active participant subconciously reacts
to the intent of the desire to create, mind sparks
cry against the page, illuminating a single thought,
that perpares the participant for the prescribed journey.
And once it is begun, the journey continues into silence,
fearlessly writing unkown insights and observations, carefully
yet spontaneously choosing each individual word which
most exactly reflects unexpressable understandings.
And in the end,
what seems to contain nothing but carelessly strewn words,
paragraphs that laugh at their insignificance, mocking
the participant with halfway formed ideas that disintegrate
once something real attempts to speak, somehow
clearly reveals the intent of poetry, and the poem is finished.
And what is left is a vague sense of accomplishment
among the midst of chaoss, and yet it feels right.
For nothing needs to be proven, no novels need
to be written, no poetry needs to be published,
for all that matters is this cerebral experience that
transforms nothing into something.
And as I stand to read, my vocal cords contract,
making audible noises that when projected out,
particular sound wave patterns travel into your ears,
which when translated by your brain reflect the underlying
meaning behind these words,
and finally as your eyes widen with understanding,
my eyes close to rest knowing that inspite
of the imperfections of this poem, true freedom
lies within the acknowledgement and acceptance of them,
because when you allow honesty to be the center of your expression,
the imperfections only illuminate the heart of yourself, and while
this poem and others are flawed, everything that matters
is experessed, and that is all that matters.

Ah now..... I have found a poet here. Not --- a writer of poetry... but a poet. There IS a difference.
I have tried to capture 'the process'.... though I don't know that it can ever (to your point, I think) fully be captured. I have pondered it relentlessly. I even had a conversation regarding it today. And... as seemed to have happened to you, here... I was left with a feeling that I barely said half of what there is to say --- but ---- felt.... (searches for the right word)... content... knowing that the person to which I was speaking --- knew---- if only because they've experience it themselves.
This is entirely different that what I did/would do in a similar attempt to put it on the page... but yet... my eyes widened nonetheless. Yes... I believe I understand it. And because of that, I know I'll be returning to your page more often.
With acknowledgement and acceptance for what this is -

GREAT piece! I feel like it should be carved on to stone. I love it when you speak of not denying your true self, needs and wants. Along with the words and flow, colors seem to come from your work, rotating to the rythm of reading, like the vibrations of the work creates the lights that I see when I read your pieces. And I do understand what you are saying. I do believe you are one of the best writers I have come to know and your work makes me feel hopefull that there is more than our suffering and to be a part of something greater than ourselves. Hope these day find you covered with Smiles and Laughter.
