Little sister, please dont cry

Contributed by blue_angel on Friday, 29th April 2005 @ 10:36:53 PM in AEST
Topic: FamilyPoems

Little sister, please don’t cry
Let me sing you a lullaby
Let me caress you to sleep
And I vow these promises I’ll keep
Here for you every day on end
I’ll be your sister and your friend

Little sister, please don’t suppurate
I’ll hold your hand as you recuperate
I’ll protect you from the cruelties of home
I promise you, you’re not alone
Squeeze tight if you are afraid
And by your side I will stay

Little sister, please don’t fear
Know that I will always be here
Maybe not in person but call for my heart
I won’t let him tear you apart
I had been torn from limb to limb
But I promise to keep you from him

Oh, dear little sister, do not fret
I am here, never forget
When he comes, who knows what he’ll do
But I will be right here to stand up for you
My little angel, I’ll be right there
As a friend, a sister, I’ll always care

aww! was this really written for her? if it was, whom are you protecting her from? your bro or your dad? if i was her, i would be glad to have you as a sis. sigh... i wish i had an older sis to protect me... or lil sibling to protect. but i guess protecting my puppy from my bro works... right? lol. great write!

This was a truly wonderful poem which shows your empathic love. You are a good, caring older sister and Lisa is lucky to have you around. Very comforting, but yet so sad, too for what has happened to you and may come to her. Sad, and angering. I should let Chris read this - he so hates injustice - that he'd probably come to you and slay all the men in your life. On the other hand, that might get him locked up for ever so we better hold off on that...
