I was ready to make you part of my world...
to shackle my freedom; to deny my impulses.
I was ready to bring you into life...
share my riches; give you my wealth.
Now a shadow moves with you,
Ever so fading; displaced farther and farther away...
Our future.
And here I am: seeing you, seeing me.
I feel almost naked; those eyes pierce through me now.
My knees weaken... not from love.
And who are you? You are nothing.
You were nothing, and you proved nothing.
And you will always be nothing.
Those eyes pierce through me now.
My knees weaken... not from love.
I can accept our loss; can accept the finality.
I can accept the torment; can accept the hate.
I can live with the facts.
My knees weaken... not from love.
Fear grips me, I feel the sky falling.
I sink in the ground, water drowns me.
I have no future and I've lost my past.
Not from love.
In the darkness that you spawned,
I will find the light; will triumph.
Larger worlds to explore, more riches to be gathered.
And in the late evenings far from now on diffrent plains,
I may think of you...
Only not from love.
