Bush has done his worst
And that was bad enough
Surviving the nightmare
Was really pretty tough
But now we see the end
Of the simpleton’s power
Tens of thousands dead
In America’s lowest hour
Iraq is in such a mess
Bush tries to paint a smile
But we see the limits of his power
Mile on bloody mile
Making war through lies
Sacrificing America’s young
He and Cheney and the rest
What a deceiving song was sung
But their ability to do harm
Is now severely curtailed
All their megalomaniac goals
Completely derailed
The nightmare is over
At least for us outside
It may be it is the US itself
Now has the roughest ride
But even there the day will come
When decent folks win the fight
And remove these liars from office
It’s going to be alright

I've just read the 3 pieces you have posted and there seems to be a change in your outlook. You are still as anti-Bush as ever (understandably) but there seems to be a hint of optomism in them.
"But now we see the end
Of the simpleton’s power".......not yet, still almost 4 years to go. A week is a long time in politics, 4 years is an eternity. |
