When I look at the sky it brings about in me sadness
I know that I am unhappy depression is my weakness
No shooting stars in view or any faraway planets of hope
My eyes are blank and in bleakness they grope
Like men of old I wonder if I am God’s friend
I know I am but even my pain he cannot fully mend
Despair takes over my soul on this cold and hopeless night
Too sad to even utter a prayer so I abandon any chance of light
I let my happiness fall into the dark and shadowed hole
Leave my faith for no forces in heaven can this misery console
It resembles my life looking up at the starless sky
I perceive nothing worth living for through my faithless eye.

Remarkable write. I'm happy to know the sadness has passed. I can relate to the devasting thoughts, feelings etc. We're only human and we all need spiritual retuning ocassionally.
