LoveRemembered

We’ve taken this road
As far as it will go.
Beauty still around,
But the sorrows always show…
It does no good for anyone
To linger in this way.
Just know that life goes on,
When we leave this path today.
I could never love you.
You only shared misery with me,
While emotions I kept deep inside,
You didn’t want to see.
If I am to love you,
You’d have to know who I was,
Share my misery and happiness,
If only just because…
…You loved me.

quite a piece, marc. sorry there is only good things to say of this one =] excellent ending, i loved it. i thought your description was the best part of the post actually. id like to see it used as a twist in one of your posts. but as for you poem itself, my favorite part was of course the end! seems like this is part of the video for me...i seem to always rewind and go through it again. keep impressing =] |

Aye, those feelings, and all the confusion and struggle that goes along with them. So much of the struggle being merely to understand ourselves. Lessons don't come easy, do they? But Jarred is right, and in time, good things will come.
A meaningful and well-said poem.

Well, Marc - add me to the list of those that adore the ending of the piece. It is seriously fabulous. Heart tuggingly fabulous, yes.
It occurs to me... that you (and Jarred, etc) are apparently a lot smarter than I. Oh, now - I was brilliant when I was 15... 16... 17 --- sadly, though, I went all dopey after that. The message here is, then, a terrific reminder of what I've been gettin' wrong all these years since.
Thank you for this. I'm learning... but a reminder never hurts.
You've done well, Marc... and the poem is a good one, too *wink*

Marc, are you sure you' have never been in love? Cause it looks like you have been before.
This was poeticly done well. I live the soft words you created here. There's nothing more to be said that has not been told already. This was just perfect.

Wow---you say you've only been writing for a year or so??? Excellent structure, and just to be different I'll say the second verse was my favourite. Keep it up! Scorp. |

Another hard hitting post. Even if it wasn't really love these 'Love' Remembered posts are just smacking us in the face here! That last line.. Oh Man! .. wow..
The "if only because" part gets you thinking you're going to make this a romantic piece and you love and how how wonderful but then you switch it to a statement about Her and that is just phenominal!
Really hard hitting posts recently, keep it up.
