A Word to Our Father

Contributed by Whisper on Thursday, 28th April 2005 @ 05:56:57 PM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

Just a quiet Word to Our Father
A Word of Thanks for my many blessings
Through all my faults you have forgiven me
I am not all the time Sure

Why

Maybe coz I truly believe your up there
And that day many years ago
I commited myself to you
And In the those cleansing waters
I knew I believed In You
Our Father

I have so many faults yet you
still let me pass by
Guiding, Protecting
and Helping me through
Safe and cradled in your arms.
Why sweet Father
When there are others
so more deserving then I.

You

Oh Holy Father Forgave me.

Thank you for my blessings.
Thank you for protecting me
And keeping me here to see
My Family and Children
and my Children's children .
My friends grow.

So many have passed
and went away now
But I see now Why
and I Thank you
for taking them away.

They would be happier
with their lives with you

I believe that you took my closest and best ones
So they were made to be set Free
of further suffering and pain.

Thank you I case
At the time I forgot to say.
Some how it just don't seem right those days.

Thank you Father for enabling me to move and breathe
Think and Feel the suns rays
To speak , Sing and Pray.

Just a Word with our father I just had to say.
