Loneliness Has Found Me

Contributed by pixie on Thursday, 28th April 2005 @ 01:47:21 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Loneliness has found me at long last,
It had been lurking around in my past,
Waiting for me to fall deep in love,
Then choke it with its deadly glove.

It once whispered long ago,
But into the distance it did blow,
I thought I would never see it again,
But I have & with it came pain.

I am wrapped up inside its cloak,
I have no-one to blame it is my fault,
I have lost all that I held close,
Chased him away along with the ghosts.

Never will he return into my arms,
As once too often I’ve caused him harm,
My soul is dead & so is my heart,
I have ripped my own love apart.

I will do anything for him to return,
As I can’t take this ferocious burn,
Of pure & solid desperate heartache,
I have lost my love & that’s no mistake.

Powerful words in this.
It oozes a deep sense of pain all the way through.
Held my interest from start to finish

Good poem there Krissie but you shouldn't
blame yourself for your breakup since he is
just as much to blame as yourself. It takes
two to make a relationship work and it takes
two to destroy it. Just know that in time your
pain will fade.

I've felt that common emotion soo often. It always finds me... when I'm alone, I'm vulnerable, it's target... That's a great poem. I can really relate to that. Jenny
