Teenage Ideals
By Jordan Waller
I hate the way that we are all the same
What happened to us all being unique
For this monstrosity who is to blame
Scared to be yourself, be labelled a freak
We should strive to live and not just exist
What is the point in just joining a crowd
Don’t think I could do this I must resist
Don’t worry what they think, lets scream out loud
Lets all be ourselves sod all of the rules
Lets live for today, just live for yourself
Lets pack in our jobs, drop all of our tools
Use up our life while we still have our health
Unleash the demons lets become crazy
Or live life sloppy and just get lazy.

I wouldn't worry about living up to anyone's "standards".Poetry is all about how YOU feel and how YOU choose to articulate those feelings. You're doing great, keep it going
