Everyone sees her walking in the halls,
Smiling and laughing.
What they don't realize is she’s screaming,
screaming out loud inside.
Almost everyone she knows has hurt her,
Except there are these two people in her life,
That cherish her for everything she is.
The one person can relate to her,
In almost every way.
She is like a sister to her,
Always being there
Everyone sees her walking in the halls,
Smiling and laughing.
What they don't realize is shes screaming,
screaming out loud inside.
The other person in her life,
Hasn't been around for that long.
But to him it seems like an eternity,
An eternity he would never change.
Not now, Not ever.
He knows she cries,
And he wishes he could help.
But for now all he can do is sit,
And hope he can be there for her always.
When he looks at her,
He sees this sparkle hidden in her eyes.
Just waiting to be let out,
No one has been able to set her free.

Great poem. Really effective usage of repetition and oxymoron. |
