Please Daddy

I sit here waiting until he comes home.
I sit here in fright all alone.
He’s gone out drinking again,
Just like last night.
When he got home,
He started to pick a fight.
He said the house was dirty,
The dishes weren’t done.
When he shouts I just want to run.
I just want the family we used to have.
Before mom went away,
Before life became my darkest day.
I used to play so carefree,
Now I sit here listening to the turn of the key.
Oh god he’s home.
My blood turns to stone.
Please have won the game tonight.
I can’t put up with one more fight.
This time what’s the cost?
A broken rib? Another black eye?
All I can smell from you is rye.
Explosion of pain,
I think your going insane.
Everyday you hit a little harder.
Do you know what would be smarter?
To kill me with one bullet, one knife.
Instead of slowly ruining my life.

This write has so much pain and hurt in it and pray to God it isn’t true. No one should ever have to be treated like this. But it is written very well and was a good read. I like the ending it was very strong.
Do you know what would be smarter?
To kill me with one bullet, one knife.
Instead of slowly ruining my life.
Keep writing you write so well and I love reading your work. But if this is true of your like you need to do something to help yourself. Take care and if you need to talk hit me up…..Steve

Oh my god honey---Dad or not, don't let him hurt you like this....This is such a strong write, and you shouldn't have to speak of such pain. My heart goes out to you.
Scorp.
