Bachlor Drift

Topic: Lifepoems

Cereal bowls about the bed.
Alarm clock bunjies me out of dreams,
back to the real world before the good part.
I try to get the engine to start, the motor runs,
but the wheels refuse to budge.
With a little concentration, some day past milk,
and some motivation the day really begins.
Floating along in a sleepwalk, talking to the boss
till the jaw drops off my face to run away,
to live to jabber another day.
Hulking machines give off mournful screams
as they eat all day to give way to useful waste.
Collect the droppings is what I do.
Pack them up in air tight containers,
jettison them into space,
where they go, I just don't care.
Grab an elephant to roam the floor.
Lift, haul, push, shove,
move excrement into fueng shui peace.
I become at ease in my living daydream.
The cackling crow shrieks my freedom.
At last my bonds are broken,
the paid slavery is over, I leave for home.
A cave in a house, dank, dark, and smelly.
Throw away the moldy jelly, no sandwiches tonight.
Antiquite sauce with matching spaghetti, that's not right.
Settle for Ramen, dinner of kings,
princes, and paupers alike.
Magic mirror shows a court jester.
Tries to hard to be funny.
Why must I work all day to pay for this drivel.
Plug into the world before I plug into dreams.
Nothing but lost souls searching for meaning.
They turn over every nook and cranny.
The empty their guts onto the operating table,
only to complain when they're cut up.
Lost privlaged mingle with harsh realness
in a primordial ooze of self degredation.
I realize the day is gone, the night has come
but still the sun shines brightly in my mind.
I leave the bowls for another morning,
set the alarm clock for another warning,
wait for my dreams to bring me joy.
As eyes flutter, flutter shut,
it comes to my attention.
I've never woken up.
