When the opportunity comes,
To look into your eyes,
I take advantage of it.
Like it is food
To a starving child.
So I look into them.
And no matter how dark,
It is around us,
I can still see them.
Brown as baskets.
Shiny as liquid silk.
Clear as crystal waters.
And in these beautiful creations of yours,
I can sometimes see little angels,
And they’re smiling at me
From their home in your beautiful eyes.
I hope they come out
Someday.
I’d like to have angels living in my eyes.
Maybe then, they would be beautiful.
I doubt that you can feel them there.
But do you at least get the feeling that they are?
You should, angel eyes.
They’re there,
I can see them.
They’re beautiful.
…Just like you.
