The Shape of Love

Contributed by ForeverAlone on Tuesday, 26th April 2005 @ 08:33:40 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

This unforgettable feeling
Fallows me everywhere I go
Solid is now my heart once hallow
Of love, I now know

Time could never erase
Your touch on my soul
Such a loving, caring, beautiful face
And a heart of pure gold

You will always remain
My very first love
One feeling I truly cannot feign
For it runs deep within my blood
. . .
Now as I carefully carve
Your name into the mud
I slowly add a heart
. . .
The shape
Of love

i loved the ending. even though it was simple, it was just so effective. this is as good as all of your others of course, even if it is about love ::cough:: what i would like to see is that the love poem be in the shape of a heart.

Very nice piece of work, and you showed off such a high degree of knowledge with the simplicity of your last line. You actually defined the shape of love, I really was expecting the traditional "left unanswered" kind of poem where the idea's danced around, but never truly addressed. Well done here, as your poem speaks to me on a greatly enjoyable level, easily relatable, and everything else in between. lol. It was really good, you're really in touch with how you feel about this topic as proven here, I'm glad I read this.

damn....that last line was good. really. well, not necessarily the last line, but your conclusion in general. the last line is useless without it, lol.
