A Poem to You

Contributed by AngryBunny on Wednesday, 25th December 2002 @ 11:40:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I know it has been
Quite a few months
Since we called it quits
And simply gave up

But I've been doing some thinking
Listening to a lot of sad songs
There are a few things I need to say
Before more of my life goes wrong

We used to say, "I love you"
But did we ever really?
I heard people never stop caring
When they love true and dearly

So we're not together anymore
And you're very much over me
I can see it in your eyes
What once was, will never be

I'm writing you this poem
Because I don't know what else to do
There was so much I felt
And I before I knew it,
It all went to hell

I would like to say sorry
For any pain I may have caused you
If I have ever made you cry,
I'd like you to know
I've cried too

Many night I have wept
Longing for the soul I used to share
Some of me is inside you
Now my heart just can't compare

You were my pillar of strength
And could make me feel so strong
We were one in the same
Our love stretched on and on

I wish I could have said this
Back when you needed me
When I believed in love
And all of the hearts possibilities

There's so much I want to say
But I keep getting lost
Can you believe I'm composing
All these verses of heart loss?

Just to you
I'm writing this for you
Whether or not I send it,
It is to you, only you

This one made me cry...and yes send it to them let them read this...I know exactly how this feels and searched for so long to try and find the words to say to them and here you've done it...I'm not saying it will fix things, but it might help you to move on...Best wishes to you...

Wow...I love the way you put your feelings into words. This is amazing. It sucks to be stuck in that spot where you just can't get over someone, or at least can't get them off your mind. I can relate to a lot of this. Beautiful write.

i liked this poem its very honest... but it can be made better i think you should keep working on it, because as it is it's a good poem but it has the potential to be a very good poem.
