I Am Alone

Topic: Grief

Sand between my toes
waves crashing at my feet.
A romantic scene for many
but I'm walking alone
no one is there to hold my hand.
There is a beautiful sunset
as far as I can see
but I can't see into the future
I don't know what's in store.
I feel alone as I walk silently across
the deserted shore.
The wind blows my hair into my face
but there is no one to brush it away.
I am alone.
