I just dont understand,
Why you walked away.
I just dont understand,
Why I couldnt make you stay.
We made eachothers lives,
Together we became one.
But then you left me alone,
Then my sky was without a sun.
Who's this new girl in your bed,
What's she got that I dont?
Who's the new girl in between your sheets,
She cant love you, no she wont.
I cared for you,
On my shoulders I carried you.
I gave you my all,
I couldve married you.
So explain to me,
Why it's her and not me.
You and I know both know,
We were meant to be.
We're like the sky and the sea,
For eachother we feel love and hate.
We reached a level and there was no where else to go,
Baby, come'on...its fate.

| Wow.. that poem is soo true. I wonder that all the time.. When my boyfriend broke up wiht me.. he left me for another girl.. and i just didnt know what i did. So i know exactly how you feel and i wish someone would explain it to me too.. Great write!! |

The poem has a few slip ups where it loses it's rhythmn but other then that great write.
*But then you left me alone,
Then my sky was without a sun*~I really enjoyed these lines alot.

I think you've done a good job posing a question we all ask ourselves. The fact that you have added personal details about your relationship makes your audience sympathize more, as opposed this poem being just a typical breakup poem.
