Pain: I was conceived in pain. I lived in the womb in agony. My mothers body was my Matrix.
Pain: I was born into this world in pain. I’ve been intimate with it ever since.
Broken fingers, arms and legs, Please don’t hurt me the little child begs.
Broken rib that punctured lung, cigarette burns, split open lips, and bitten tongue.
Busted head, skin stripped red, blackened eyes, but no one cries.
Accidents, was the word of the week, so, the little child was theirs to keep.
Until one day, she’d had enough, she was 13 years old, but strong and tough.
She ran away into the night, what happened then just wasn’t right.
But, her will was strong, she would survive, she’d carry on and change her life.

This poem made me cry. It's sad to think these things actually happen to kids everyday, and no one really cares. Thank you for your comment on my latest entry. I think I went a little extreme, but if it helps somebody then I'm ok with it. "My mothers body was my matrix," that's cool. Shey |

It's a sad poem. Although no one should have to run away from their fears, It's good the kid got away from the violence. It's a very powerful poem. Jenny |
