Bitter Sweet Kiss
I can still taste your bitterness
As it replaces my loneliness.
If only it wouldn't have come to this
After so much bliss.
If only never happens and never did
Like your forgotten sin.
Our love was like the rose full of thorns,
And yet my pricked finger still mourns
Your absence in my life,
Because now I sleep alone at night.
I can still taste your bitterness
Even with your absence
I still wish for that one kiss
That makes if only more than this.

Quite a romantic write of a love gone bad. I think this poem points out that you can still grieve the loss of a relationship, even if it didn't go well between the couple involved.
Very well done, the theme reminds me somewhat of my poem "Mourning the Dream"
Well done

I can't believe I didn't post a comment on this! It's been up since Monday, where the heck was I!? Lol, but anyways, this was a poem that I could easily see myself writing one day, not that I like to plagarise, but hopefully u get what i mean :P It's just relatable. I loved the second-to-last stanza a whole lot, because you've revealed like a part of a routine that has now changed with the person's absence. I loved the conclusion too! I guess that's the most relatable statement in the entire thing. I'm sort of a sucker for punishment too, maybe there's some subconscious mumbo jumbo going on up there in my head, but it sums up the reasons for the poem, the reasons why it has the potential to continue, and just why exactly the emotions are what they are in the written piece. Beautiful work here : ) tasty even... |

I actually love those first two lines best, but the whole write was easily relatable for me, at the moment.
So, needless to say, I enjoyed this emotional read : )
