Silent Pain

Contributed by Pats4eva7 on Monday, 25th April 2005 @ 07:04:30 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

There's there unmentioned hurt,
That burns me deep inside.
It burns my soul with flames so hot,
This pain was very hard to hide.

All my life ive kept it hidden,
Though it was obvious to see.
No one ever noticed,
What tortures were killing me.

They never heard my screams,
And never saw the tears.
Ive hid them well away from them,
Among these silent years.

The scars were always there,
Yet invisible to their eyes.
My pain was left un-cared for,
All I had was un-answered whys.

My broken heart was dead,
It was buried without mourn.
I wish this life never hurt me,
For i wish I was never born.

I cannot take this silent pain,
I want them all to know.
I dont want them to be afraid,
I dont want them to go.

But they'll never see why,
And they'll never understand.
Why I feel such depression,
Which I try to heal by my own hand.

They cant see what hell I feel within,
And why the blood makes me feel.
Gives me some sort of peace,
That reminds me that im real.

No wishing on a star,
Could ever cure this pain.
No praying to your God,
Can ever stop my rain.

So im unsure,
If I should scream about my life.
Or keep this as my silent pain,
And keep quiet with my knife.

I totally agree that pain held inside of you is more deadly than the outspoken pain. Silent pain kills you from the inside out. I've felt it soo many times before. I can really relate to your poem. I can't help but feel a little sad near the end... Then again, a lot of the poem was sad. It seems a lot of times that the people I talk to about my problems just don't understand the feeling that I go through. Talk to me anytime. Email me if you want. Jenny
