Another Change

Another change. It seems endless,
the recycled transfusions, torn red to match the color of your eyes,
lost in the night's glance that continuoulsy revolts
in the presence of this lasting stench.
And while the last brass bell rings,
the strike of twelve burns brighter,
lighting the candles which are left with only one strip of wax,
melting along the cylinder that binds it to your dreams.
And I will carefully touch the flame as it reaches its peak,
and dies eventually, as the wax burns to a liquid torch,
perfectly symbolizing the final surge of will, like someone who
struggles to sustain their breath as their life seeps through their poors,
left empty, and they are left cold and rigid,
unable to even whisper the pain of their remorse.
This is the final change, although it is recycled, like everything else,
and visions of wide open spaces are filled by the light of your heart,
and everything is warm again as the cycle continues. And finally
one word is left, one word which cannot be explained, as eyes
cannot explain the images recieved from the sun,
melting into patterns of long day hikes,
of midnight walks along ocean cliffs, which my eyes have seen
but cannot explain any connection between these images or any others,
and so I will not say anything,
because it would only deny the meaning behind the obvious.
In other words, speak no words, and observe the invisible lines that define
the relationship between space and dreams, between
solitary visions of translations and transparent electric fawns,
that slip on cracked ice thrown down like stones
falling from open canyons into streams. And watch
as the ripples expand across subtle lines.

My dear friend... It's so nice to see you writing again. Missed your surreal words. =) Of course, I loved it; of course, it's perfect; of course, a gorgeous and exquisite piece of writing! LOVED IT! Cheri Zenmind, you never fail to steal away breath, and words.... Enchanting, dream-like, and your voice tells a tale of brutal honesty and life unveiled. Impeccable. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful work of art. All my love. Forever,
Your dear friend/avid fan,
Stephy! *hugs for Zenmind.* |
