A Believer
~~~~~
I grew up in church
From the day that I was born
Few Sundays were I absent
Bar snow, floods or storms
In the chapel, we were taught about Jesus
And the greatness of his love
The Pastor spoke of the holy power
That came from God above
From the Bible I read of his healing
And the power of his hand
How he made the blind to see
And made the crippled able to stand
How he calmed the mighty seas
Give manna from above
Gave his life at Calvary
For that’s how much he loved
This man that walked on water
That was born from a virgin womb
Has made me a promise
That he’ll be coming back real soon
So as I wait for the day
For my Savior to take me home
I struggle to do my best
On each earthly day that I roam
Though the temptations can be great
And I’ve fallen a time or two
I close my eyes and say a prayer
And the Lord pulls me through
His words are reassuring
His promise I know is true
He has make me a believer
And can do the same for you
