Hand In Hand!

Contributed by inoc on Monday, 25th April 2005 @ 05:50:01 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I look at them together, they seem so blessed.
I wonder have they ever been stressed?
Hand in hand they walk on by.
I love their little smiles as I go and say hi!

Still clasping, hand in hand.
I can't help but notice, close together they stand.
One would speak, and the other would listen.
Not budding in, because they have no reason.

I slowly say that I am on my way.
Together they wave and say "have a good day!"

~~
I reply "have a good second honeymoon next week."
They laugh and pinch each other and peck each others cheek.

I can't help but feel jealous yet proud of them both.
That they still have -that love- and have kept their wedding oath.
Nowadays with all the divorced couples around.
Looking at my Aunt and Uncle I think- how profound.

Opening the door I surprise him my by kissing.
I want to relate to him the excitement we're missing.
Hubby stares and looks saying "what's wrong with you!"
With a smile I say "tonight our marrage will shine true"!

How very touching and beautiful it is to be a witness to lasting conjugal love that does not jade over the years, but - as it should - grow.
At a time of so many divorces and marital conflicts it is sheer joy to be a wittness to such a BLESSING.
Your poem is a moving reminder of what is possible when the Lord is behind the bond, and the wellspring of the lasting and growing affection.
Thanks Inoc for bringing it to the fore.
Blessings
Elizabeth

Is'nt it wonderful to be a witness to so touching conjugal love that spans the years and grows with time. - as it should.
Absolutely beautiful reminder of what is possible at a time when there are so many maritcal conflicts and divorces.
Whenever the Lord is behind a BOND, it cannot but grow in spite of adverities and trials.
Thanks Inoc for the inspiring reminder.
Blessings

So breath takingly beautiful. You paint a perfect picture in my head through ur words of these loving couple. A truly delightful and pleasurable read. I envy people who have a special kind of love like this, but bless them in return for having it too.
A very well written and portrayed piece of poetry. 5 stars for this my friend.
Hugs,
~sue~
