Shall We Dance?

Contributed by --skoTch-- on Monday, 25th April 2005 @ 04:24:19 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I look at you through the glare
The light reflecting a sorrowful stare
Touch the glass and know it’s fake
Clench a fist and make it break
The pieces shatter to your feet
Your body is weighed down with heat
Reach the ground to taste the earth
Know your life for what it’s worth
Own her eyes, her skin is yours
Cut the strings and let her soar
Play the game, the game of sly
Make her scream, make her sigh
Show her how you mean no harm
Let her fall into your arms
Watch her melt in cherished silence
Anger her and fear the violence
Fiery in the heart of red
Listen to what isn’t said
Feel her pulse when she’s drawn near
Catch her interest with that leer
Teach her passion, teach her grace
Let her follow your swift pace
Taste her lips, but don’t proceed
Let her know it’s you who leads
Aggravation swelters so
Laugh to her and let her go
Hard to get, it captures craze
One touch, one tease, one mild gaze
But two can play your impish game
Two to tango, one to tame
