Back From Where You Came

Contributed by Kie-Kie on Sunday, 24th April 2005 @ 02:13:34 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Every little girl
Dreams up the perfect guy
Her valliant knight in armor
So modest, so shy

She never expects to fidn him
But settles instead
Settles on the closest thing
Still breathing, not dead

So you can guess my shock
My heart's great surprise
When I looked at your picture
And gazed into his eyes

It's like you sprang from my mind
You cam from my imagination
I got my perfect man for real
Not some settle-for imitation

So I guess it's only fitting
As sad as it seems
That you met an early end
I can only see you in my dreams
