A promise sealed in skin
Of things that were and things
To come
A contract written in that
Moment
Shared breath
Lids shut tight until your mind's eye
Cannot bear another second without a first hand account.
With the circuit completed, another word is
Unnecessary
I am taken to another place that
We share
Surrounded by a moat of memories and
A drawbridge with a rope that is a slave to your
Fingers
A goodbye for now,
Hello for then.
A sharing of the in-between
Given with only each other in
Heart

Gorgeous and passionate. You have such an amazing ability to capture the essence of the moment - perhaps a moment only known from some wonderful experience. It is an act so simple and yet so ultimate and powerful. You've expressed it so intimately. The second stanza is stunning.
