BROTHERHOOD - DEFINED (POLICE)

Contributed by reflections on Sunday, 24th April 2005 @ 07:24:36 AM in AEST
Topic: Tributes

INDOMITABLE!
The spirit that consumes, and represents all
ETERNAL!
A perpetual readiness to answer one another's call
IMMOVABLE!
The mind set, the spirit, the will
BONDING!
A relationship that offers us danger and thrill
TRUST!
The virtue that turns a man into friend
HONESTY!
The quality on which all brothers depend
HONOR!
Without which no group could exist
TRUTHFULNESS!
The one asset, if absent, would be the most missed
FIDELITY!
The spirit that demands we be true
BROTHERS!
All linked together in our “long line of blue”

Incomparable paean -
giving veritable heroes their due. - police officers,- so often perishing in the line of duty, so often forgotten by the ungrateful . Their heroic virtues, demanded so lightly , and taken for granted, or discounted, - shine before God as indelible halo of glory..
Masterly words to highlight the excellences of the brotherly bond, crowned with the most excellent virtue of all, 'FIDELITY' by which they become the replica of Him who isTruth and Supreme "Fidelity"..

A stupendous hymn this John - I think all your Brothers In Blue rejoice in heaven.
Thanks, thanks for sharing it with us
Be they all repaid for their tremendous sacrifices. a thousandfold.
Thanks for this incomparable paean!
Be blessed
AMDG
Elizabeth.

I really enjoyed your poem very much! It had so much strength in the words you chose to use. It lifted me up also because I have been recently thinking about joining the police force over in San Fransisco. Thanx for all you do.
ALINA
GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR "BROTHERS"
