Legendary in status
Perennially followed
Paved in mastery
The brush strokes billowed
Architectural wonder
Secrets yet to unfold
Travlin’ westward
On The ol’ Silk Road
Trade and barter
Sell your soul
Couldn’t work much harder
Can’t afford the toll
Constant motion
Fearing no emotion
You ride onwards strong
Nights deadly long
Towards your humble abode
West on Silk Road
Your stallion depleted
Thirst takes hold
Your stomach is defeated
It may soon eat itself
Winds blowing cold
Sandstorms discern
You’re a prime target
You’re all alone
Deserted and forebode
Heartache on Silk Road
A pretender of fortune
Take control
Surrender your notion
As you begin to fall
Forgotten and mistreated
You will be missed
Outspoken and conceded
Waving your fist
Sleep now, do what you’re told
Dream a miracle
Of the good ol’ Silk Road
