A dead look fills your eyes as if all emotion has slowly withdrawn from you...
I stare away unable to face the twisted look on your face...
The sad strange look of misplacement... or perhaps confusion...
I try to find the words to say but all that comes out is a single whisper...
That slowly softens and dims out to nothing at all...hearing myself sound so pathetic
stirs a deep emotion within me that i'm not accostumed to... fear...
fear of being left with these feelings to pull at me... to rip out the things important to me and dim
them into nothing of great importance at all... and i'm hoping that if I feel this long enough
and I have had enough of this punishment that I might forget to breath...
that a bitter sweet taste of sea salt may fill my lungs cutting off my circulation...
making the world around me fade... so that I might not cry myself to sleep tonight...
my teeth slowly dig into my lip so that the ear peircing scream edging at the back of my throat...
will not break the silence around me... blood trickles down my chin and i'm hoping you don't see the
pathetic look of lonliness in my eyes and that you don't see the twisted pain taking over slowly...
more and more each day... sometimes I wish that the tide would slowly pull me in farther and farther...
until the waves thrash what is left of my bitter soul... and let this end... but then again... I don't think I
would have the nerve...to say that final goodbye... even if I mean absolutley nothing... to anyone at all...
