Dirt on The Grave

Contributed by ForeverAlone on Saturday, 23rd April 2005 @ 08:26:47 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Insalved demons, dig the fated hole
Where you will rest, absent of soul
A stagnant body... grown cold

Vengeful angels, watch from above
Corrupting a pureness, once called love
A feeling you felt... numb and null of

Burning hell, of "sinful" flames
Retires your soul, rusted of blame
In the end... only death came

Glowing heaven, of feigned bright lights
Issued your demise, in colors black and white
Life expired... In unrightful blight

Ashes or caskets
dust or maggots
Life fades to black
Without a way to shade back
For when the final note is played
There is only more dirt
To be shoveled
...
On the grave

Wow. This is another good poem. There are so many tonight.
This is one of the better ones, though.

I really like the way you have done this. The last line of each stanza is very effective.

The end works very well, too.

Great write,
*hugs* Phil xxx

Excellent, Clark!!!!! And difficult-to-pull-off rhyme scheme to boot. I enjoyed this a lot and will be re-reading it again before I rumble off to another page.

Impressed... and thinking I need to hit your page more often,
~Snemmy~
