Death creeps closer
With blood-shot eyes
Thorns piercing skin
Yet causing no damage
I am immortal
A young man, giving up
Hangs himself
And yet I, somehow
Find it utterly beautiful
I am optimistic
A tattered statue
Stands tall, wings spread
Slowly falling apart
Yet still retaining meaning
I am captivated

:( The pictures aren't working...
I like this, thought the second stanza is a little too disturbing for me. Heh.
But, your words are very desciptive and also kind of beautiful.
Great write,

This poem is very odd especially the second stanza, but it is still a very good poem. |
