submitting to expansive infertility
i bow my head—
the gratitude rests heavy on my scalp.
with breakneck speed the inchworm travels
gripping fibers of my insufficient neck
he watches
me. the insect’s knowledge
far outweighs the cumbersome intuition of the soul;
rather
than heeding ephemeral words unclinging from the glass
he exudes a poison glue.
i surrender my mind to the inchworm’s breath

This is different, and pleasently so. The structure was interesting, and neat, to say the least. Overall, this was very well done.
