The Day of Doom

Contributed by tiger_grl on Friday, 22nd April 2005 @ 10:42:15 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Still was the night, serene and bright,
When all men sleeping lay
Calm was the season, in carnal reason
thought so 'twould last for ay
Soul take thine ease, let sorrow cease
much good than hast in store
Thus was their song, their cups among
The evening before.

For at midnight break forth a light
which turned the night to day. And speedily a hideous cry
did all the world dismay.
Sinners awoke, their hearts do ake,
trembling their loins surprized
Amazed with fear, by what they hear,
each one of them arseth.

They rush from beds with giddy heads,
and too their windows run
viewing this light, which shines so bright
then doth the noonday sun.
Straightway appears (they see't with tears)
the son of god most dread
Who with his train comes on amain
to judge both quick and dead

Thus everyone before the throne
of christ the judge has brought
both righteous and impivious
that god or ill had wrote
A separation, and differing station
by christ appointed is
sinners sad, both good and bad
abd heirs of woe and bliss

Christ flock of lamb their also stands
whose faith was weak yet true
All sound believers
whose grace was small, but grew
and men among and infant throng
of babes for whom christ died
whom for his own by ways unknown
to men, he sacraficed

The glorious judge will priveledge
nor emperor, nor king
But everyone that hath misdone
doth into judgment bring
and everyone that hath misdone
the judge impartially
Condemned to external woe
and endless misery.

Kind of sucks ?
I found it enlightning
A good writing
The only thing I could see wrong was that you should capitalize God,Jesus or Christ when speaking of them.
P.S Write more when you are bored--this was prettry good : )

Awesome Concept. I really liked it, however, I still think it can use some fine tuning. Try revising over and over till you're completly satisfied.

To be honest, I think the best concepts come to us when it's spontanious. Sometimes the simplest concepts are the most intriging. Think about it.
