Since I Hoped And Prayed

Everyone said, “Just wait.”
But I was impatient and cried.
Refusing to do anything,
Until you were by my side.
I thought we’d never be,
Or ever get a second chance.
But I stood tall anyways,
In hopes you’d ask me to dance.
Maybe since I hoped,
No, maybe since I prayed.
Depression is next to nothing,
Compared to what love weighs.
Just know I really miss you,
More than I could ever say.
That also applies to all my love,
That could never go away.
Well, that’s all I have to say, okay?
Enough with all the rhymes…
I think I’ll go get on my knees,
And thank God a million times.
