Girl, you're like my sista
You've been away
For quiet some time
It's obvious that I miss ya
Girl, how do you know
The things to say
To cheer me up
Everytime I feel low
Girl, you made it through
Came to the rescue
When I called
When I didn't know what to do
Girl, you kept my spirits high
By never backing out on me
By being there to count on
And standing by my side

This one actually madde me think about my sister, and about how much I regret not being nicer to her. SHe's moving out now, and I have no time to be her best friend. I wasted it all making her angry and getting on her nerves. Thank you for writing the perfect poem of realization that best friends (or sisters) dont always stick around forever so we should spend as much time as we can with them. It's great to see such a strong relationship between two friends. |
