How The Dark Became So White

Contributed by jyssvw on Friday, 22nd April 2005 @ 06:10:04 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

I’m writing you this letter
Place it in a frame
It contains your destiny
I’m the one to blame
The words are unimportant
It’s the song that stays the same
The melody is contagious
It screams out your name

Love matters little
In this cold game of war
Casualties are accepted
Only not those you cared for
Fingerprinted reminders
Of a memorable past season
The Kingdome rested peacefully
The sinner executed for high treason

Make it a strong one -
Bartender please
Make me forget the rest
Keep me off my knees
I’m off to send this letter
A cure for this disease
I promise to never forget her
I swore I’d never leave

Warriors of love
Masters of this machine
Release me my dignity
Protect me from the obscene
Keepers of the soul
Congregate late at night
They sit and ponder creation
How the dark became so white
