I look aroung my garden.
and what do I want to seek?
Not a beautiful pink rose,
or the ferns around the creek.
I hunt everywhere but I can not -find.
Where did I use put it -"Im loosing my mind!"
There it is under the orange tree...
no that's not it, I am going blind now where must it be?
I find my daughters boot,
that she lost , under a tree root...
but still I am searching,
I nearly feel like cursing!...
Okay.... now I will sit and pray deeply,
surely then I'll remember completely...
In calmnes with not a sound,
I sit waiting until it is found.
Yes... I put it in a good place,
I am so glad I found it in God's grace.
I should have thought of that from the start!
Instead I waisted time tearing the garden apart!
I guess you are wondering what did hide?
My -spare- house keys the original ones are locked inside!

LOL Inoc what a twist at the end. A pleasant and enjoyable write. A truly welcomed piece of poetry. We're all guilty of it aren't we.
Well done.
Hugs,

I once had duplicate keys made for a newly purchased car ... I went into the store, and came back to find the originals in the ignition, and the spares laying on the seat. The car was locked of course. I was fortunate enough to stop a passing policeman who laughed the whole time he "Slim Jim"ed the car.
I can relate, Coni. Thank God ... he must have a sense of humor .

Bruce join the club. I once tied my keys to my trousers so that I would not forget them. Then of course I changed my clothes and was in the same predicament. smiles bern. |
