This heart has turned to ashes
The fiery glow that once fueled it
has long been put to sleep
And beneath all love and eternity
there are some who are exceptions
those of us who cannot find this "love"
We find eternity meaningless
And shadows of nothing
creep upon us
yet we are still here
anchored by our fear
and the hope that there is still hope

Very, very well done! So true...
We find eternity meaningless
And shadows of nothing
creep upon us
Those were my personal favorite lines... I can really relate to them, unfortunately.
