Bha mi a’cadal
Bha e brionglóid
Bha chuala an mise
Aon de phìob
Bha an gille dean air pìob
Aig meadhon-oidhche
Fagus or
'Dia dhuit,' bha e dean aig mise
'Sùil mo phìob
Tha e rìgh
Thar iad uile
Albainn
Bho long do cladach.'
Bha ag mi radh aig e,
'Mac aig Albainn,
Slàn agus beannacht leat'
Bha an mi sin dùisg.
I was asleep
It was a dream
I heard
A bagpipe
A boy was playing it
At midnight
Near the sea
'Hello,' he said to me
'See my bagpipe
It is king
Of all Scotland
From ship to shore'
I said to him,
'Son of Scotland,
Goodbye and blessings with you'
Then I woke up.
