Sometimes

Sometimes
When the world's fast asleep, I stay up and dream
Of what the world has in store
Will peace ever be realized?
Or will we always be at war?
Sometimes
I drop to my knees
And pray hours without end
For God to have his way
And for the hearts of men to bend
Sometimes
Tears will blur my eyes, from the aching in my heart
For what can one man do?
For this cause I hold so deep, that I’m willing to lose the sleep
And pray this matter through
Sometimes
Peace will come my way, if on my knees I’m willing to stay
And allow God to calm my heart
For he’s never let me down, in my darkest moments, he’s around
Carrying me from the start
