Moment Of Truth

Contributed by Pats4eva7 on Thursday, 21st April 2005 @ 08:54:04 PM in AEST
Topic: self-harmpoetry

There's this secret,
I hide deep within.
I hope that you can handle,
The fact I cut my skin.

I know it's gonna be hard,
To know your daughter causes self-harm.
To know you never even noticed,
The cuts along my arm.

You look at me and still you cant see,
The release I feel when I use the blade.
The physical wounds will heal,
But the inner scars can never fade.

The fear wavers inside me,
To know what you're going to feel.
To scream and cry in disbelief,
And still be sure it's not real.

Well mother,
This is no dream.
The blood and pain are real,
Just like your screams.

Among the years,
The pain has built.
Dont blame yourself,
Dont feel guilt.

I want you to know,
I need time to heal.
I know you're afraid,
And dont kno how to deal.

With each step I take,
It gets closer to the day.
The day your knowledge hurts you,
Somehow, someway.

Looking in your heart here, it's hard to believe that someone so considerte and understanding can live with so much pain.
Your write brings hope with it 'cause u r reaching out.
If ya get time u might wonna check out my 4 part series called SUICIDE.
this write is very sad but yet a person can see your inner light. Let it shine, my friend as I see much beauty in your soul.
A masterpeice.
luv, huggs, prayer,
