Life is a poem
That we write every day
Little by little
As we go on our way.

The good things, the bad things,
The common, the strange
Are written forever,
Never to change.

It could be a sonnet,
It may be an ode.
It might be a hymn
That will lighten a load.

Let there be beauty,
Whatever the form,
And life most abundant
To weather the storm.

May they remember
A beautiful song,
That the music and lyrics
Were loving and strong.
