A Chip Of Stone

Contributed by sinned on Thursday, 21st April 2005 @ 03:34:16 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Infaturation I thought it was more
Nothing known of what was in store
In love there should be no harm
You drew me in with your every charm
I am and was in love
Blinded because
You looked into my eyes
Promises I have learned to despise
For better for worse
From the start our "cursed"
Never never will I know
Howm sincerly I took our vow
Children came and life was blessed
What was happening; What did I miss
Busy providing Maybe I had neglect
Sorry I didn't detect
Your heart grew stone cold
I aways put you on the pettlestool love with cupid stood by the garden pool
You had a hold on my mind heart and soul
In my heart you I could easily find
In togetherness I was blind
Your stature grew
I never knew
In the garden of my mind
Perhaps too subline
Outside it may not have shown
My love for you inside was overblown
How I bragged
She's mine and other hearts sagged
Until too late I couldn't see
My love didn't want me
indescriable is how I felt
I decended into hell
Watery eyes Never to rise
Still I chip away
Loves statue still on display
Of love I retain a piece
A chip of stone a little dice
Until my heart; my very own
Until my heart turns to stone
A token of past love
Someone place it on my grave above
Only I will know from whom
If only someone would lay it on my tomb

Lost love is never ever really lost.
Pieces are forever carried with you.

Sinned

This is so sad and expressed so well and deep. Outstanding as always. Your poetry shines so radiantly with aura. A divine masterpiece that touces the depths of ones heart.
Hugs,
~Sue~

A profound and sad poem. Mere infatuation does not go all the way. But faithful love is stronger than tomb and death. It shines forever more.
No love is ever lost., It keeps the universe going.
Wistful and beautiful reflection!
Thanks for sharing Denis
Blessings!
Elizabeth
