Suicide
|
A chilled winter breeze,
swiftly brushes across his face.
The air is cold,
and makes the hair,
on the back of his neck,
stand on end.
For the first time ever,
he is numb to everything.
No hurt and no pain.
The emptyness is full,
as he is in this high.
Standing on the top,
of this tall building,
he feels like,
hes on top of the world.
Looking down, at the grass below,
he steps off the ledge.
Hes now plunging towards the ground.
Falling so fast, but stuck in the moment.
One simple tear flys off his cheek.
He closes his eyes,
and sees darkness, one last time.

beautiful... this poem captures the feeling of suicide perfectly (not that I completely know). I like the part about being numb finally.... also, the ending,
"One simple tear flys off his cheek.
He closes his eyes,
and sees darkness, one last time"
was just great... keep it up! |
