What Will My Future Hold?

Contributed by brokengirl on Wednesday, 20th April 2005 @ 09:25:41 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

What will my future hold?

Will I be rich or poor? Married or single?
Will I live in an apartment or a house?
Will I keep any friends from high school?
Or leave them all in the past?

What will my future hold?

Will I keep our family traditions?
Will we still sing songs on Sundays?
Will we watch movies every Friday night?
Or, like the weather, will everything change?

What will my future hold?

Will life pass me by like cars on the freeway?
Or will I take advantage of it?
Will I die at age 30? Or live till I’m old and grey?
Will I have a dog? Or a cat? Or maybe even a turtle?

What will my future hold?

Will I have a great job? Own my own company?
Or be a stay at home mom? If so, of how many?
Will I be a soccer mom? Or a hockey fan?
When will I get married? And to who?
Can someone please tell me? Why can’t I know?

What will my future hold?

That is the beauty and mystery of life, never knowing what is around the next corner.
Would you want to know the future before it arrives?..........or keep the mystery ?

Nice work

Steve

Beautiful, frightening mystery, to be sure.
I do know what you mean. And what you want to be, when does that work out? Will it, should it? Yeah, I'd rather know too.
Take care.
David
