I won't forget you

In skys full of dark
and heavens of gloom
i looked for a friend
where were you?

I could hold you
i could hold you in more than my hands
but you never heard my whispers
never saw the smoke rise from the ground

And now
again we go to bed the broken hearted
a distance grey and thick
when all we want is each other

Like a rose we wilt
petals fall and die
bonds break
wither and die
but i just had to give it one last try.....

Time has taken its toll
never will i forget you
always this you must know
