Hidden In Me

I am not sure of what it is inside,
But I can no longer hide.

The person inside of me,
That can now be free.

The one who is strong,
The one lost for so long.

Why is it that they are blind?
What are they longing to find?

They chose to shut me out,
They will never know who or what I am all about.

Always trying to please them,
Denying everything that burns within.

Deep inside to the depths of my soul,
Where I no longer have an empty hole.

To let go of it all,
Now able to stand tall.

To hold my head up high,
Letting them see the gleam in my eye.

Knowing we are doing it on our own,
Creating our own throne.
